Maria
Vitale Snyder and her husband, Ryan Snyder,
brought the West Michigan tradition began by
Sam Vitale in 1966 to Zeeland in 1992. Maria
and Ryan brought the Vitale's standard
of excellence and leadership in West
Michigan foodservice to Zeeland, and have
proudly served the community for nearly 15
years.
Maria's
father Sam
founded the first Vitale's on Leonard Street
in 1966. The original location was a
converted garage on Leonard Street, in Grand
Rapids, Michigan where Sam began a family
tradition of fine Italian cooking known and
respected in the West Michigan area for
more than 40 years. Sam's commitment to his
work and his customers led to an era of
expansion for Vitale’s throughout the Grand
Rapids area. In the early 80’s, Sam decided
to dedicate himself to one location and
began selling the various Vitale’s to
relatives. As a result all but two of the
restaurants carrying the Vitale's name are
still owned by Sam's family.
Many
attribute the success of the Vitale's family
to quality homemade secret recipes and
generous portions. This is just a part of
the story that makes Vitale's a West
Michigan tradition. We also have some great
people working with us who keep the
tradition going through their commitment and
dedication to the work they do. We are proud
and fortunate to have found many good
friends in the people who work with us and
have become an important part of the
Vitale's family.
The
Vitale's family has won many local awards
over the years for the quality food they
serve each and every day!
The
Vitale's family welcomes you to the family.
